Has anyone tried this way of adding kalk?

update... i have been using kalk in my ato for several months now. i mix it right in the ato container, i have seen within an hour its settled, ( brightwells kalk+2 ) set the pump to come on after an hour . no sock anymore, after a while i wondered how much that was really doing?. i have a very small pump, tried several and had issues with some, but am using the mi mouse by tunze now, turned down to the slowest setting and runs into a high flow area in my sump. its been working out well. i don't cover the kalk since it takes days for air to effect kalk from all i have read and by than my kalk is gone. i only mix 5 gallons at a time.
the kalk has been keeping my ph alk and cal stable. and was a great move.
