its an 8 gal, and the fixture im looking at has one halide and 2 blue atinics. look these are the two that i pulled up

    Odyssea Metal Halide Pendant

    Sea World Metal Halide Lamp 17 -24" (150W×1+T5 14W×2) 178W

the 2nd one has two T5's and the first one only has one, yet its more expensive... im sooo confused

also i cant find radiums at 150W.

over an 8 gallon..why not just get a par 30 wbw bulb for 60$.. that would be plenty of light and look really clean, or 2 of them.. u would still be saving money now and in the future since u wont have to replace bulbs..

i would 100% run some PAR led bulbs for sure over anything 10 gallon and under.. i think 150w with t5s would be super overkill and u would have redonkulous evaporation giving u very unstable salinity..

plus those leds give u the same ripple effect and grow the heck outta sps and anything

hmm, ur gonna get better coral from ur corals if u go with a more blueish light, but the whiter the light the better growth ur gonna get..

personally i like a little blue tank, but still have some white to get my growth.. so i would say get 2 led bulbs with 3 blues and 2 whites... giving u 6 blues and 4 whites total..that will give u great color on corals and a nice blueish puple tank and u still have the whites to get u par and good growth..

im find them on our sponsors, gimme a sec..
