    Hi, I recently received a 25 gallon aquarium from a friend that was heavy with hard water buildup at the top of the tank and I was wondering if there was a way to get it off without using chemicals. I am getting ready to set up a new aquarium and I want to use this tank, any advise?

    rub it with vinegar on some tissue, that should get if off.

    you could also use lemon juice or bleach.
