Hammer, Torch, or Frogspawn??

    The LFS told me it was hammer coral but i just dont see it. Would love to know if they are right and if not what it actually is.

    I would say hammer. I've got a piece that looks almost identical to that.

    I'm going to say torch but until the coral expands a bit more, I can't be positive.

    i will also say frogspawn. it doesnt have the "hammer" ends and the ends are too large to be a torch.

    i would say no to hammer. and be more inclined to go with it being a torch. my estimation 0 % - hammer. toss up between torch and spawn. but if had to lay down money, id put it on spawn

    Looking at it again I might switch my estimate to torch. I agree that it doesn't have the hammer ends. My mistake.

    Sorry to dissent, but looks more like hammer to me than frogspawn or torch....but I do agree that the bigger it gets, the easier it will be to tell for sure.

    I disagree with everyone so far. I say a type of bubble coral.
