Either bryopsis or some kind of turf algae...raise the Mg level to about 1450-1500 with Kent Marine Magnesium (and only Kent marine)...if its bryopsis it will die.

My mag is at 1500 and probably has been for awhile. Looks like my custom Avatar is working. Had that anemone for 4 years. It was almost the center piece of my tank. But then it died back in October :(

I can cure that with peroxide, easy. If you want to get rid of it join the peroxide thread below this one with pics!

That looks fine for a 2 gallon bowl but how am I going to apply the peroxide to a 46G bow front?

I'm reading that I need to take my mag to 2000 with Tech M for this to work. Is that too high?

it takes time, I raised my mag to 1600 (as high as 1800). there was an immediate response, most turned brown or white, but it took at least a month to cut it down to about a remaining quarter of the initial infestation. Main problem I believe is the raise of nutrients because of the dying flora. Interesting that my lawnmower took to it once it turned brown. I am still battling it but it is not nearly as bad as it was when I started the dosing. I figure I'll always have to keep the high levels since it already is established.
