Now, firstly to all of you who will probably look at/or have seen previous posts of me (amateur) saying that I would take it slow and not tax my system... *FINGER*. I couldn't help it man! Everything is so beautiful! Well as you can see from the pictures below, this is the pitfall that most amateurs will fall into. But I won't quit. I only lost one fish the entire time that I'v had this tank running. And I think there is something to be said for recognizing a big problem early and taking major steps to cure the system.

So this is the biggest most comfy nursery I could construct...

This is going to be the new spot... after much remodeling... to sit for ANOTHER 2 months while it cycles AGAIN!

Huge Cyno bloom. Carpet of red. Lot's of hair algea on the bed and rocks. Hated the sand bed that I had. I basically started the tank quickly because I was excited and ended up hating what I had done as far as aesthetics. The algea bloom was the last straw. Everything is running again, everyone is happy as can be expected in the nursery. In a few months all of this will be up in the "Show Off Your Tank" section.

Ok here are a few progressive pictures of the rebuild now that you're all caught up on the break down.

Bleaching and leeching the dead stuff out of the LR

After the cleaning I started setting up an aquascape.

There's also one cup of LS from the old tank to help the cycling process.

Here's what is looks like finished and running

little percula, he's in the damsel family

There are no lights on the tank yet because I don't want to trigger another algae bloom before I have a crap load of good bacteria to help fight it.

I wanted to keep a lot of little caves and nooks for the fish to enjoy. At the same time I wanted to be able to see as much of the tank as possible. With this present aquascape I can see around both of the structures, plus I've opened up some real estate for some larger fish breeds.
