GSP not opening

    hey my gsp is new and ive moved it a few times its in modarate flow and in modarate lighting i was just curious if me moving it and letting it sit for a while and it will oppen up again? just a random newbie Q thanks

    just leave it alone. it can take up to a week for GSP to get going. And it will randomly close up.

    This coral is pretty much invincible.

    Totally agree, it will close then open but it's so hard to kill.

    99 x out of 100 they will open again shortly

    if it doesnt open fully after a few days/ a week a blast with a power head, can help to clear any sediment that is blocking the pores

    yeah i just placed in high flow ill see what happens....this is like my fav coral and want it to grow soon!

    im not sure it will do great in high flow. sayin the because ive found the mat wont grow where theres high flow from my returns. i think the moderate flow you had it in before would do better, IMO. steve was just saying give it a blast to clear anything off of it. not to keep it there. hope i havent misconstrued steves words.

    yea i get what your saying ill move it here in a secondthanks and its about a 1 inch frag how long before you think it doubles?

    cant give a time frame. all tanks are different. you will be able to see the mat growing tho when the polyps arent open, usually just after lights come on. a bit of a white edge
