Grey spots on Trigger?

    My trigger has been hinding a lot lately and I've been having some water issues that are currently being fixed. He finally came out where I could take a good look at him and I then noticed he was covered in this spots of greyish discoloring with particles of sand clinging to him. The spots id say are around 1/8 inch in diameter. Any ideas what this is, maybe some sort of fungi?
