I have green star polyps but they don't seem to be doing well, they have shrank in size and don't open up as much as they used to when I first got them. Is there something that I can do to make them happier?

I currently have a 100 gallon tank with t5 lighting
2x36" actinic and 2x36" daylight inside a 72" Canopy (is this enough light?)
I run the blue for about 12 hours and the daylight for about ten
I run a Rena XP3 canister filter and have a UV sterilizer
I have two Powerheads to move the water

Squirt em with a turkey baster, debris and detritus seems to stick to those guys like glue, can you post your parameters?

+1. I even like to brush mine off with a paintbrush under the current of a powerhead.

In my opinion on a 100gallon tank, 2 t5 bulbs are not enough lighting, the actinics are purely for viewing pleasure, i had 6 tubes on a 55 and my soft corals looked superb, i have a few hardies now and so have upgraded to 300watts halides, still in my 55, and they look even better, now most soft corals don't require much light , but on a 100gallon i would use at least 4xwhites and 2xblue, just what i would do, you will see a difference....
    Hope this helps

Just wanted to point out that there is a purpose to actinic lighting rather than making corals "glow". Actinic lighting aids in the photosynthesis process.
