green polyps

    my green polyps were bright green when i got them i put them twords the bottom of my tank now they are dull green with some brown srteeks should i move them closer to the top by the lights?

    Considering that you only have 2.8 watts per gallon then I'd say yes but since I'm not sure what kind of coral a "green polyp" is, it's hard to really say if that will help or not.

    You might try moving them up in the water column a little bit at a time to see how it affects them. Moderate lighting?? That's subjective in the reef salt water hobby :) If your lighting is flourescent in nature I would try that.

    They do require moderate lighting but because you don't have strong lighting, you will need to move them as high up in the tank as possible. What type of lighting do you have? VHO? NO? PC?

    Move them up a bit and see how they do. Keep us updated too if you don't mind :)
