It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Depends on the age of the tank.

    Nitrate and phosphate levels?

    Type of water used?

Members of the clean up crew?

Not likely. How old is the tank? GHA is very common in new tanks, usually right after diatoms.

I'm also having some hair algae. My tank is toward the end of its cycle. I had a diatom bloom about a week ago which is now done.

my nitrate has come down considerably since it showed up. I'm assuming it will starve itself out when the cycle is over?

    Sorry to hijack.
