Green bubbletip anemone lighting period?

    I keep my lights on for 6hrs only, iv had good growth of corals, never an issue. Its my first time with gbta, is 6hrs ok?

    IMO, 6 hours is too short. but there will be many other opinions. that said, my lights are on for 12 hours. they ramp up over a 5 hour period, are at their brightest for 2 hours then ramp down.

    Mine is very bright, some told me if the lights are bright enough, 6hrs is all they need for photosynthesis.

    I think between 8-10 is optimal

    Brightness has nothing to do with the length of the photo period. 6 hrs is nothe enough. I wouldn't go under 10hrs. I run the lights on the reef tank for 12 hours.

    Very true. you may have the proper intensity bot not allowing it to be long enough will not be good for your anemones.

    it looks completely bleached to me. longer periods of light will help it regain the color.
