I found this gray mass on one of my rocks. Its gray, looks kinda like its branching and the size of a dime. I'm trying to look it up but can't find anything on it. Maybe I'm just not searching for it right. Any ideas on what it is?

My guess would be some sort of tunicate or sponge. I have something growing in my tank that looks similar. I can't find anything online that looks like it though.

I think you might be right. I think it needs to grow more before I can give it a clear id. It doesn't seem to be hurting anything. :)

I think it is a sponge, will be interesting to see it develop.
