Been away for a while- been busy working on the tanks.

I am finally setting up my Ai but kinda unsure what the best setting for start up.

    My current set up:

    15g 24x12x12
Stylophora(new), lps, leather, zoas, and shrooms
    Current light: par38 50/50 -5 white, 5 blue, 2 uv 10,000k

I like a bluer looking tank than white.

I was thinking the following settings. Would appreciate any suggestions or help.

    Cw- 20%
    Db -30%
    B- 30%
    Uv - 20%
    V - 20%
    G - 5%
    Dr 5%

Is this too high or low to start with?

I have a prime over a 29G Biocube, I want to warn you that this light is very powerful. I opened it up to 100% and burnt a lot of coral, but hey I learned.. Lol. In the app you can set it by either kelvin or manual 18 to 20k is on the bluer end I run my at 17k... Here's my schedule. [IMG]

Yes, thank you for the warning!

I have read a lot about ppl burning corals.

I found the app kinda confusing.

You have the manual option where you put in your own percentages, then the graph part of the app, and then the colour wheel.

Are all these 3 different options to work choose or is the graph just showing you the schedule?

I set it up via the colour wheel

30% at 14,500k which turns out to be 8 watts.

What a difference in light. My old one was really white and the blue, which I love throws me off cause it looks dark. Lol.

I will very slowly increase the light

This light puts some power, there's a acclimation option... I would highly recommend this. The graph shows you your schedule and at the top it will show you what is the percent per light at any given time. The manual option is for selecting your own light spectrum(custom) and the wheel is the preset spectrum option.

I used the wheel to find the K color I liked the best and then used the manual setting to match that and then tweak. It took me a few days to get used to the controls but now I love it. I like the app, but I find myself using my mac to login and calibrate. Start low and then raise it week by week. I have already seen a positive response in my corals.
