For a 90 Gallon it has to be a 250 watts, I can't pull it off with 175 watts?

Aqua Traders? That website is ReefShops.com, The total comes out to $507.00.
Is that a good deal for that fixture?

First I thouht u already have a 2x250w mh setup? The current fixture isn't bad but u can get a marristar fixture with ballasts for about the same. With the Odeysea fixture just remember u get what u pay for and IMO there is no such thing as a good cheap mh fixture.

I have the 24" version of that odysea and I like it a lot. just got it in december, so its the most updated one. I'm pretty sure that the housing is the same that coralife uses, but the electronics are possibly put together more haphazardly.
That said, I still recommend. The ballast seems rock solid, and is definitely electronic. The PCs that come with the fixture are 454nm which is nice, the deeper blues than normal actinics.
As a precaution i would take the fixture apart and inspect before plugging it in.

My fixture had the ground wire in the casing ripped out and one of the leads to the MH was disconnected.
A pain but worth the $600 dollar savings...

I'm an electrician and would say that the fixture itself is safe, but needs to be double checked for sure.

Also one of my leds for the moonlight died a while back. But i just had to re solder a lead and it came back on.

SO in conclusion... I think that it comes from the same factory in china as the coralife, but is probably made after hours for a less than reputable distributer. I am happy with mine after replacing the MH with phenoix 14k. For the price its hard to beat. IF you're willing to do a little work at first. like they say... some assembly required.
