I am hoping it is coralline algae. it seems that, even though my tank is only 3.5 weeks old, coralline is spreading decently (not all areas seem to have this glowing effect, though).

The glowing algae is a maroon color when older and does not cover as well as pink and purple coralline. It is also soft to the touch.

The algae is not a threat some macro's and Coraline will fluoresce under actinic lighting and just FYI bioluminescence is the production and emmision of light from a living organism so unless it is glowing when you turn the lights off its not bioluminescent.;)
