Glass sump directly on carpet

    Do you think that will be ok? I am going to put a thin pice of foam sp if any water drips it drips on that. Do you see any problems with the sump not sitting on wood

    As long as the floor is level there. I don't see a problem with it

    Ok there is ply wood under the carpet the newer foam then carpet so the foam should level out any uneven spots

    The only issue I can think of is when it needs a clean out etc ( obviously if its a smallish sump this is not even a consideration)

    but if it is a large sump and it is very low, then syphon techniques are not going to be much use and you would have to pump the water out in order to clean, move etc

    It's about 25 gallons but that's not a problem I use the aqueon water syphon that hooks to the sink. Thanks for the input!
