I like to draw/design houses. When I'm bored sometimes I like to draw in Google SkecthUp. Considering this is a fish/aquarium forum, I figured I would show the ones related to that topic. Here's some of the aquariums I've done. Some, I even drew in the filtration + equipment. Some are just the starts. Enjoy!;)

    A 1/2 29g frag tank with stand & 10g sump.

A 55g in my house, before changing the plan to the 75g.

The equipment room would be under the stairs. Mainly for storage, but some equipment & maybe a frag tank would have been in there, had I been able to go on with the build.

The draft of my 75g reef tank.

    Here's the first aquarium I drew that I considered to be giant.. It's 600g. 8' long X 2'6" wide X 4' tall

This is looking from the kitchen into the living room. The equipment room is behind the tank to the right. I had even drawn out the kitchen completely, but then my computer crashed & I had to redo it. Boy was I mad.

This is my most recent...you can see through all 4 sides. It is 12' long X 3'6" wide X 3'6" tall. About 1,100 gallons. The plumbing would go to below the tank with an additional equipment room, not drawn.

View from the living room side...the door on the left goes into the kitchen, same with the right side, which goes from the front hall.

View from above. 2 fixtures. Each are 4X39w T5HO + 2X250w mh. 1'6" above the water.
There's a bar on the kitchen side, seeing through the tank into the living room.:)

1,600g peninsula tank. 14' long, 2'6" wide X 4' tall. Zebra wood skin with bull-nose at end. Closed loop would go into the equipment room(obviously), which is not drawn.

Closed loop, goes in the end & in from the bottom.

Last, but not least...the gran-daddy of them all. Some may say I'm crazy, if they haven't already. :p

This tank is too large & too odd of a shape to really measure the gallon-age, without putting a lot of work into it. To give you an idea of size, the inside diameter of the "outside" tank is 25'. The tank is 4' tall & 4' wide.

The top view, which also gives you a good idea of the equipment room. Overflow is on the right, cleaning the water, as it goes around the room, reentering the tank on the far left.

    That's all for now, folks!

    10-03-10. I made another. haha

12' long X 6' wide X 5' tall...mahogany skin on the canopy & base cabinet. Plumbing would be underneath.

Side. The lighter wood is maple.

Skylight above the tank. Not sure on the lights.

Complete with fish! I need a bit more rock. haha
    [IMG]

    4-07-11. A 4,700g private aquarium. It is 12' X 12' X 5' deep (not including the 3' x6' section near overflow)

With 12' ceilings, the tank is 3'6" from the floor and ceiling.

*insert off color remark towards affording a sweet setup here*

I use to do CAD and drafting in me free time as well. Same with photoshop.

I like the huge tank. Peninsula idea with a twist.
