I never had a slight bit of hope about this thread, but if I did it would be completely gone by now. I've written orphek off. Between their phantom posts floating around the forums and empty promises time and time again, they have lost all respect in the led reef market imo. Good luck with this mike.

It certainly did get horribly delayed, but I finally have a tracking number so hopefully i'll have pictures soon.

Well holy crap, they actually sent you one. No bribary checks were included in the packaging were they? Lol! Can't wait to see par readings along with a good review.

Man I wish they would have thrown a bribe in there! Trust me this won't be a fake review. I can already tell you there a couple things that I don't like and will not hold back to say.

Got the light on the tank while the family is sleeping. Man the timer is a chore, but at least its set. I checked it out briefly with all lights on, and it does have a very nice full spectrum. The moonlights might be too much on my tank, but they sure do give some hefty glow. More details coming in a fresh thread.

So what do you think of the look? I'm really curious about that. This is a lot of red LEDs that they are pushing on you. I'm actually really shocked that after criticizing all the other companies for having too much red, they now decide to add it. What about the studied from Dana Riddle that they cited as to why you don't want red in aquarium lighting?

I completely understand why! And soon you too will see.

Had they designed their own diode, the LED base would be the same and they would have no problem using their exhisting optics. Unfortunately, they are at the mercy of off the shelf diodes and optics.

And he will! I hope you use a Licor PAR meter as the Apogee is not the tool to handle this PAR monster!
