    According to my reference book, it says it can be placed top,middle or bottom, I guess depending on lights. It also says;
    lighting needs..........4-9
    water flow..............4-9
    aggressiveness........7
    hardiness................7
    This is a scale from 0-10

    The higher the flow the longer the sweepers will extend. With low/moderate current they only extend to about 1 1/2 inches. They do need a good random blast of current.

    The way my powerheads are set-up, the flow is moderate to low on one that gets a good blast as the current reaches it periodiaclly. The other one is in high current. Depending on your lighting, placement in retrospect to coral, will determine the color. They like alot of light and will keep it's coloration. If you don't have adequate lighting they'll live, but, will turn brown. These are super easy to frag. A sharp chisel and a hammer. I turned my one piece into 3 and gave one to my friend rayman007.

    +2 on that. They need a blast of water to keep the coral cleaned out. If you don't have chaotic water current you need to hit it with a turkey baster every week to make sure nothing gets built up in it.
