Funny thing happened to the lfs today

So I walk into my lfs, and see a few boxes, so I think to myself hmm they weren't supposed to get a shipment in today, but awesome! As i go further into the store, I see a styrofoam container packed with about 30 baby maxima clams so I think wow thats sweet I want one. haha. As i venture yet farther, I see more boxes of fish and coral, and more, and more, and MORE! I see 40+ buckets with new interesting fish I had never seen before getting acclimated, so I had to ask the owner Ken what this miracle was. He told me that a fish distributor's order had accidently been sent to him!! Because of the whole mishap, he is keeping all of the livestock and selling it! A few boxes were full of:

86 baby cowfish
22 fairy wrasses
8 leopard wrasses
2 monster long spined puffer fish
about 500 damsels/ chromis
40 ocellaris
20ish maxima, crocea


there were also flasher wrasses and many other wrasses that I had never seen before! This was so awesome! total I counted 24 2x2x2 boxes PACKED full of livestock!!

Holy cow those fish would be outta luck at my lfs. There is no way they could handle that many fish. Can you imagine how much of a bio-load that would put on a smaller fish store lol!

 

yeah i am sure Ken is worried about accommodating all of the fish, but luckily he has pretty big store... and i am sure many of these fish will sell fast considering 90% of them have never been seen in his store before!

 

So I have to go down and check put the clams this weekend pat ? What's he selling them for ?

 

make some offers on those fish, Im sure he is willing to let some go at a cheaper rate if you're a good customer..

 

Haha Crazy... And I thought it was funny when I watched one of our LFS's get distracted while filling a tank and flood the whole store :

 

what is he going to do with 86 cowfish? lol.... Happy fish shopping!

 

im not sure yet, im gonna go down there in about an hour to check the livestock because they were pretty busy as im sure you can assume. haha. ill let you know tonight
