My lfs has a beautiful orange plate coral i really wanna get and ive read they are hardy and require moderate light and flow. I wanna get it for my 90 which has plenty of both but the tank is only 6 weeks old. Im wondering if i could house him in my gf's 10 gallon thats 6 months old with 4 watts a gallon of pc lighting (10 hours a day) and pretty decent flow. Anyone wanna chime in and give me some opinions on this? I wanna grab it tomorrow if i get the green light on opinions....thanks in advance

I started losing mine in my nano dx 12 with 48 watts of light.. It might be ok for a while.. I think my bulbs were getting old... Mine started to fade and took it back to my buddies lfs...

Did you ever end up buying it? I just bought mine

I have 14G nano cube with 1 Coralife 10,000K 36Watt Compact Fluorescent lamp, 1 Coralife Actinic 36Watt Compact Fluorescent lamp but I have added a reef brite blue LED bar as well, Guess I'll see how it goes

Orange plate corals sold as Fungia are most likely actually Cycloseris, not Fungia. If it's solid orange, that is most likely the case. Either way, just keep water quality high, moderate lighting, low to moderate flow, maintain ca, alk and mg... Feed meaty food once in a while. Cycloseris can be a bit more difficult though IME, not sure why.

Edit: whoops just noticed the data LOL. Oh well...

So if that is the case what should it have cost? I would like to make sure I haven't been ripped off

    Thanks
