got him as a gift not more than a couple months ago and it has literally doubled in size already.

im not sure what it is however, that long stretching arm of his seems to have taken a grasp of the neighboring rock...growing and spreading fast....

any ideas what is? its not the most colorful thing, then again not many soft corals are. he has very small brown polyps similar to that of a gorganians.

clearly im not referring to the polyps just above it...

Looks like a photosynthetic gorgonian that I used to have. That would be my guess.

hmmm, i think kenya trees have a much larger trunk like base structure. gorgonians are really the closest thing i can compare this too.

though here as well i would have thought gorgonians had a stronger (not fatter) base structure, these branches are really flexible and soft.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1355852862.737072.jpg looks real similar to the attached picture. Kenya trees are fast growers which is why I believe that's what you have.

Looks like a Kenya Tree or Colt to me. Fast growers that actually prefer high lighting IMO.

The only thing is that it doesn't appear to have a base like a kenya tree.

Swisswiss- when you had it out of the water to transfer it to your tank, was it really soft a mushy? or did it have a more firm stalk? Gorgonians are more firm and the polyps pop out of the stalk, whereas a kenya tree has very little structure and appears to "melt" when it is out of the water.
