    hey my lfs was having a 2$ frag sale so i found some pretty sweet buys for 2$ but just had a question i got this small candy cane with 3 tiny heads but only 1 head is full and the other 2 only look half alive how do i tell if i alive and healthy

    it's kinda hard to see, but it looks like it's suffering from tissue necrosis. The one head in the middle doesn't look that bad, and it may survive, but the other two don't look good.

    From the pic they appear to be ok....... They need to be placed somewhere else though. They may start to get smothered from the cyano that's beginning to form. Make sure parameters are up to par and recovery should be easy if there are any problems. My trumpet corals have been buried in the sandbed before and recovered.

    is there anything i can do to help it or is it just wait it out??
    either way if it makes it or not it was worth trying for 2 bucks!
