I was wondering if I would ever frag my mushrooms or toadstool could I do it inside my tank or would it hurt or kill other fish, inverts, or corals in my tank?

I run carbon in my tank now, so would it hurt to do it in my tank. Say I was going to give a mushroom to someone else to put in there tank, could I just cut a mushroom off and put it in their tank as long as they run carbon?

I would just take a tupperware container, fill it with tank water, and use that, if possible.

the mushroom you can actually do it in the tank, just slice it in half.

I wouldn't recommend you do this unless you know the coral in question is safe... zoas are never safe.

You can try it that way, it may work but I was taught you slice it right down the middle so you have two halves with a little bit of a mouth.

well you cut them out of the tank and rinse them off/ let them sit for a little while(in the saltwater container), after that they can go back into the tank I think.
