So i finally got my frag tank setup and one of my acan colonies/frags have a few heads on the bottom of the rock and not really getting light and getting "crushed" if you would say..I want to get them off of there and put them on a plug and let them grow out on the frag tank. The acan head is VERY small, but it is like half attached to the rock. What is the best way to frag it?

i dont have experience with it BUT i would let the Acan make its way over to the other rock, and then you should be good to go!!

If you can just cut into the rock under them. Also another way to do it is to use a dremel or some sort of frag saw, this is the best way as it causes minimal stress to the coral!

Right, the rock they are on is way to small, they grow on the sandbed but are attached to a rock and they obviously cannot grow on sand(OR CAN THEY!?!?) But i have abunch and could do a couple head frag or so..

Can you just cut polyps off kinda like a zoanthid would also?

They don't really encrust too much, they split out heads from the preexisting skeleton and grow it up and out. So, you need to cut between heads, plus the structure underneath.

IS THERE ANYWAY possible to frag these things without a dremel or a band saw or whatever? I only have a hobby knife and scissors.
