I used a razor blade and tried to make a clean cut. I just cut off the branches so to speak.. Did it many times and never had a problem...

I cut mine in the water because it was attached to a piece of live rock. I traded mine for supplies, so I never had to get it to reattach.... My avatar is the leather I fragged numerous times.... I loved that leather...

You can cut it in or out of the water. Make sure you're running carbon either wayy as the coral will slime up a bit. Use a rubberband to attach the frag to a piece of rock :)

My buddy happens to be my lfs... I trade in frags all the time. I had a 12 gal nano and got bored easily. The leather in my avatar grew so quick, I was fraggin in all the time. So I made out really good. Until I cut it pretty small and my anenome climbed next to it a stung it every five minutes and killed it... o'well thats how you learn I guess......
