    What is the best type of lighting for fragging i have a coralife fluorescent fixture it has 2 dual bulbs one 10k and the other 420 actinic. do you think it will be enough light, is there any base watts per gallon measure for fragging?

    What kind of fragging are you referring to? Soft,lps,sps etc....? You mean for a frag tank?

    What size tank?
    What type of corals as mentioned above?
    I would have to say that standard fluorescents are not a suitable choice for lighting, other than for a fish only tank!
    At least T5's with halides being ideal and an optimal solution!

    lps and sps and possibly soft i was worried about the heat because i set up the frag tank under my main tank i think it was a bad idea now help me out!!

    I use a 150w 10K HQI and 2 PC (03) for lighting on my 50g frag tank, If your worried about the heat build up under your tank, try and set up a baffle and vent with 1 or 2 muffin fans for circulation... its cheap and works great.
