I'm having a hard time identifying these little guys. Right now they're between 1 - 2 inches long.

    Does anyone have an idea?

They are brittle starfish. Good members of the clean up crew. I have some in my tank and when I feed a bunch of little arms come from the live rock. Harmless so no need to remove

Think i'll let them grow a bit in the fuge before I try to transfer them over to the DT. Or, if one is easily available I'll snatch it up and move it then

    thnx again

That was my thought as well Vinny but I just came back from looking at the fuge and wanted to get on here and congrat DSC because it is indeed a brittle star. It was climbing on top of the Chaeto in all its glory.

I had a very large one for about 2 years and disappeared, now I have hundreds of little babies. They are really neat.

Well, I tore up my Chaeto last night but got the little guy out and into my DT. Didn't take it long to find a rock to hide under, wonder if I'll ever see it again. Those things are quick!!
