I have a Fluval EDGE I'm keeping as freshwater, but I've seen a few of these converted to nano saltwater reefs on the web. I know the lighting needs a major upgrade (LEDs) and possibly a protien skimmer. Anybody here have any long term reviews? Suggestions for lighting and filtration?

To the dismay of my Molly and bloodfin Tetras, they might be losing their home soon... ;D.

how would you add a skimmer? Arent those tanks all contained? I have heard of nanos without skimmers

LED or T5HO for lighting since they are relatively shallow should not be a problem coming throught the top.

Not sure on filtration, you might drill through the filtration portion to do a sump.
