I can't seem to find a happy place for my little elegance. Any advice on what they like - flow, placement? He's so pretty and I don't get to see it

Place it on the sand bed point down in no more than medium flow. Make sure you do not touch the flesh.

Agree, it should be down on the sand. You want to see a little movement from the polyp but not a whole lot. Just soft gentle motion

I kept having the same problem. I finally just left it alone because no matter where I moved him he wasn't happy. He finally got used to his spot and now opens all the time. Hes in medium flow.

Thanks SS. I have him in the sand in medium flow and I'll just leave him alone for a while :)

Your very welcome. I made some changes in the tank as some corals are growing at an alarming rate so I had to move my elegance. He's been between my live rock so I hope he likes the sand bed.

Medium to low flow, as other people have stated you want to see a little motion but nothing that would whip it back and forth.
