flake food linked to phosphates & algae

As long as you do "normal" feedings I think flakes are fine.. I would define normal as a pinch every other day.
I try to keep flakes to a minimum.. I mostly do frozen cubes but if you wanted to really do it right only use fresh foods.

Ocean Nutrition Brine Shrimp Plus Flake Food
My fish go nuts over it. Problem is it's mainly for when I'm not home.. it's easy for my girlfriend to put some in and I think she gives more than I tell her to.

 

Yea I do all the feedings on my own but I think sometimes I tend to overfeed since I'm only home enough to feed normally once a day so I don't have fish that need feedings two or three times a day...I'm just looking to expand my fish food options and give my tanks higher quality food and a variety at the same time
