hey everyone i was just wondering if you can help me out... i plan on making my own fish food... i was gonna throw some krill, mysis, flakes, pellets, nori, from my actual fish food collection... the rest i was going to put in is egg yolk, apple, garlic clove, and lettuce. one thing i wanted to add but i wanted to ask first is if i can use a can of italian classic white clam sauce... haha...it isnt actually the sauce but the ingrediants on the can are as follows :

clams and clam juice, soybean oil, garlic, modified food starch, parsley, olive oil, salt, yeast extract, and natural flavors...

    is this a no no?

what if i strained it and just put the clams in?

also on the garlic should i put the whole garlic in or just pieces? anything else you can think of would be appreciated as well thanks...

    mmmm preservatives......

I would skip the sauce and lettuce.......

Skip adding flakes and pellets also. Defeats whole purpose of making ones own food

I will try to do this myslef one day, mother permitting :p

    My recipe would be:

    Some chopped clams
    some chopped silver sides
Algae sheets or nori put in food processor for a second or two.
mysis shrimp, and perhaps some fresh hatched brine
a small piece of broccolli (i hear its good for fish coloration ;))
and some larger krill pieces (Like 2mm-4mm)

Put in a ice cube container (have plenty laying around)
and frozen into cubes with very small amounts of water
