    and had a question

here are the levels of my 37 gallon.

    ph - 8.2
alk - "normal" on the results bar
    amonia - 0
    nitrite - 0
    nitrate - 5.0 ppm
    sal - 1.022

what are the reasons for my nitrates at 5?

ive been doing 20% water changes every 3 weeks

right now my stocklist is 1.5" royal gramma, 2x 2" clowns, 2.5" firefish, cleaner shrimp, orange star about 4" in diam.

could it be due to overfeeding? i have no idea..

    help would be greatly appreciated.

It could be easily due to overfeeding. Do you have any filters that need to be cleaned or sponges? Are you using RO/DI water?

filter is clean, i have a skimmer running, and the initial water for my tank 6 months ago was Kirkland drinking water that i mixed my own salt to, and since then ive done water changes via my LFS's saltwater.

i did have my sandbed all stired up from aquascaping the day before, if that might have anything to do with it.
