Hey guys I have a question, I have 2 maroon clown fish that ive had for about 3 weeks now and both of there tail fins are torn. Could this be fin rot or are they still fighting. They both eat and I cant see any redding around the tail. My parameters are salinity 1.022, ph 8.2, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate is less than 5, and my kh is 10. Thanks for any help.

No, they swim in and out of the rocks and dont come close enough for a picture. A little camera shy.

My guess would be left over damage from sparring – But I agree, a picture is worth a thousand posts.

I know and I am trying to get one. I havent mastered the art of picture taking of things in the tank yet. Blurry or I get a bad white shine.

The smaller one is harder to take a pic of. He stays hidden more and has more fin loss.

Perseverance at its best, good job. That’s left of from sparring – based on the pic and what you said earlier I do not suspect fin rot.

Ok thanks. That was my thinking but was unsure. Best to ask those who know more than myself :). Anyways, that one likes to do a lot of house cleaning also, sand sweeping and the like. Thanks for your help.
