filter socks for sump

    What size filter sock is best to help eliminate micro bubbles in a sump? 100 Micron? Also where is the best place to order them from?

    I use the skimmer socks you get for swimming pools. They are not felt but do a smack up job. Mine is near the return line and all water passes thru it. A lot cheaper too.

    I use a filter sock that is used for the eco sumps. Can buy from marine depot

    I use a 25 micro sock at the overflow so all water going to the sump passes through it. This eliminates any crud that could reduce the effectiveness of my Becket skimmer.

    The only draw back I have found is cleaning them. If you do not clean then every 2 days they begin to be a nitrate factory. So every 2 days I get in trouble from my wife for washing the filthy things in the washing machine :)
