Filter media in the overflow box and the return pump

    Should i remove the filter media from my overflow box and there is filter media built into the return pump i am using i just cleaned out my overflow one and there are little bugs which we determined were prolly ok but i believe they are getting caught in filter media

    we think they are called amphipod.

    Personally, I don't like any media in an overflow, because if it get clogged, you've got a flood. If the media on the pump gets clogged, your pump just slows down and works harder.

    They are fine I have some that just love to crawl around on my filter bags.8)

    sounds good im going to leave them in for now considering sound deadining
