    So I used ge silicon 1 for windows attics etc
    I had it in for about a week now while cycling my tank and it turning yellow
    I let the stuff cure for a week before adding water idk what to do
    I still have the tube and it is ge silicone 1 for windows
    The one everyone told me to use
    Idk if I should worry

    I don't know what it is but it wipes right off I'm just going to wipe it all off in go from there

    Is it some kind of algae? I would say as long as it wipes right off it should not be a problem.

    i think i figured it out idk why it didnt hit me before, silicone can produce silica which is a good food source for diatoms, so it looks yellow but its also red. all silica is, is SiO2 or silicon dioxide and there is plenty of O2 in the water. so its the only thing i can think of.
