ok so i just got my bulk reef 5 stage plus system. i hooked it up and i top out at 40-42 psi its tested at 50 i think. DO i need to get a booster pump? is there any tricks i can do to my water lines to squeeze some extra pressure out.?

also i hooked it up and had tds readings of
    105 tds tap
3 tds comming out of the membrane
    and 0 tds finished water.
    does this sound right?

so i made 10 gal of water for my water change t0oday. but when i am done with the ro/di i have to move it . do i leave all the chambers filled with water? or do i need to empty the whole unit befor i put it away.?

    Looks right.

I leave mine filled with water.

They say the booster pump will make the unit more effective, I am not sure its worth the cost so I would say that you do not need one. did you run off several gallons first?

Mine runs 40-50 psi and it seems to work pretty good. Can't get much better than 0 TDS on the finished water! Did you flush the unit? Just wondering, you didn't mention it. I don't know about moving it, someone else will have to chime in! It isn't messy at all to drain the water though.

yup i ran it with the flush open for a few min, then i ran it regular for about an hour be for i started to keep the water.

yeah them booster pumps are damn expensive.
i figured if i am getting 0 tds coming out then i should be good.
and the production speed seem to be pretty close to 3.1 gallons an hour.

i wonder if i just disconnect the membrane and hook a air pump up to the 4 canisters if i could just blow them out when i am done, and leave the membrane filled.

i am so excited to have pure H2O on demand.;Di am going to go make more just for fun.lol

    thanks for your replies..

    anything else i should know?

I run mine without a booster pump at 40psi, I think the only negative effect is it produces more like 50 gpd then the rated 75.
