Hey fellow reefers! I just recently started coming back onto the reef community because I'm done with school! Well not really, just finished my second year in high school. I decided to take the plunge and create my own tank diary. Hope you guys enjoy! Any suggests, good or bad comments are welcome. Theres always room for improvement.

Everything came from an established tank, so the 40 only went through a soft cycle. Just in case, I left it sit for another three weeks and this is how the tank looks like now.

Does anyone think that covering the sump would be a good idea? Heres a picture of it.

It does get kind of stuffy in there once i open the cover to look inside and add top off water. To be it covers up the noise from the water and it slows down the evaporation process.

Thanks for looking guys. I will update once I get more livestock.

Thanks omard, baugherb, and luna, karma to you guys ;D. Well today was a minimum day at school, so I decided to go to the fish store before I headed home. Had a $25 store credit and decided to use it and pick up a new friend for the others. Anyways here are some pictures of her during acclimation.

During the acclimation process, I got bored and tried taking better pictures of my Yashia. Here you go

You can see how fat his stomach is after feeding. I also saw the candy pistol shrimp come out today. When I first got him he was maybe 1 1/2 cm long and now hes about 1 inch. But hes too fast for my reaction. Enjoy guys!

Hey Bogie, shes actually a Cherub Pygmy Angel. A lot smaller than most of the dwarf angelfishes. Once I released her, she swam towards the right island and just swam around there for maybe 2 minutes. After that she justs hid. I left the lights off and going to leave it off until tomorrow morning when the lights should be on. I'll have an update for you guys tomorrow. I also added 3 astrea snails. They are pretty small, but hopefully they are as good as the mexican turbos.
