Ive recently been told one of my corals is a hairy mushroom. Ive been shooting him with oyster feast with the rest of my softies and I was wondering if there was something I should be doing different.

    Thanks for the help!

Are hairy mushrooms the ones that grow huge? (+8") If so you could probably feed silversides are some other big meaty food. If I'm thinking of something else, you could just drop some mysis on them and turn all flow off, since they're slow eaters.

I never feed mine. And yes they grow quite large.

My uncle has a 75 gallon and half his tank is filled with huge, coffee-plate sized mushrooms. He doesn't feed them.

Don't feed them. they will grab scraps from feeding the fish. The rest they get from photosynthesis

I had this happen in a tank as well. Well, the male clown lived there after he got kicked out of the anemone by the Mrs.. Not sure what he did, but it was a permanent relocation for him. ;D
