Resolved feather duster?

    I have now idea what it is. I hope its not aiptasia I have never seen it though so i couldnt be sure. When it is spooked it does go back in the shell. Also the tanks that the snails came from had feather duster worms in it for sale but much bigger in the 6" range. Ill try and get a better picture of it tomorrow

    Its definitely NOT an aiptasia. Just a harmless feather duster that has the possibility to grow as big as the ones you saw.

    Just wanted to make sure. It probably isn't a Hawaiian featherduster, which is the type that grows to 6 inches or so. There are lots of smaller species that max out at an inch or so.

    I had a feather duster that shed its crown and babies that have been growing steadily since the size of a micro, theyre about 2.75" almost 3". But i did say possibly, not saying it would.

    Also in the pic if you look closely you can see the calcerous tube.
