My coral beauty has what looks to be a scale falling off, it has been ongoing for a week or so without it getting worse or improving. It just seems to be one scale near the middle of the body (height and length). Do fish ahead scales or is it more likely an injury?

Is there another fish aggressing it? Either this or maybe a close call with a rock. My CB used to stay very close to the rocks. How is it eating?

I would say fighting or ran into a rock, like said above.

Thanks that easies my mind, she is the largest fish in the tank so if ther is any aggression it would come from her.:) i recently did some rescaping so that probably is the case.

Indeed, just keep an eye on her for a few more days. Observation is the key, and making sure she's eating. A loose scale has been linked to parasite prone areas, but so long as the animal is healthy, it'll do just fine.
