So i have alot of zoa frags that are on the ugly plugs. Most of the colony is just on a piece of live rock that was then attached to the plug with super glue. I want to pop these pieces off of the plugs so i can get rid of the ugly plug and just super glue this to a rock. This means i will have to pull the coral out and use a screw driver and a hammer. Can zoas handle being out of the tank and exposed to air for a few minutes?

Zoanthids can certainly, as long as they dont completely dry out they are fine
others can also, Leathers, toadstools, GSP, Anthellia encrusted rock ( Just thinking of the ones I have had on my dinning table recently that got split/ fragged and mounted on new rock)

When I do my once-in-a-blue-moon WC, almost half the tank is empty and alot of my corals are out of the water. You should be fine.
