They're a good thing. Gross looking but good for your tank.

As long as they stay hidden, fine! But I do not want to see them. The brittle stars have now been replaced as the most disturbing and hated thing in my tank! Lol

I know my tangs, foxface and angelfish like them... I see them chase around one here or there and snatch it up if i look closely!

Supposedly mandarins do. However, the mouth on my mandarin is too small to eat them. Supposedly fish eat hem but the weird thing is I occasionally see a dead one floating in my tank. The fish swim up to it but don't touch it. They can tell the difference between a dead pod and a dead mysis. They go after the mysis but not the pods.

Well, I guess it's a sign my tank is healthy and all types of life are happy. But still, disturbing. Hopefully when I switch to my bigger tank the amphipods will get left behind! ;)

    Thanks everyone!!

Indeed it is a good sign. The more diverse life you have in your biotope the closer it matches the real world IMO.

    Don't count on it.

Have you looked in you tank after lights out yet? They're everywhere. The peanut worms you'll see are really gross too.
