I was talking to my friend, who works for NOAA in the fisheries department and he is a Marine Biologist, about Mangroves and he said they are fine as long as they don't take root in dirt or sand. If it does then it is against the law to have them.

Thats very interesting, never heard of that. I know its against the law to cut a Mangrove tree down, but never it taking root in your refugium. Good to know. I work walking distance from NOAA and UM Marine School in Rickenbacker Cswy. Is that where your friend works at? Luna

Nevermind I misunderstood him. He said you can't take any that have sprouted roots and taken hold in the sand. You can plant them though.
