Looking at the 16" evergrow lighting on eBay. Does anyone have experience with the version that has a controller?

The cheaper Dimmable version, does it come with a dimmer?

Which would you suggest for the Nuvo 16 gal?

Did I read that right? Does the dimmable version come with a dimmer?

If it's the full spectrum/dimmable lights/no controller- I currently using 3 of them over my 180 and couldn't be happier with them, the power, etc.

    For a 16? Overkill IMHO

Yeah wasn't sure if you had to buy a secondary dimmer

If your gonna keep sps I would get the evergrow and run it low power setting. It's gonna be triple the light the the previous selections you have. Honestly you should've kept this topic in your original led light post so people know what your comparing the evergrow too and what you plan to keep.

Good point, figured it would be odd since the thread was about 2 specific lights. Having one with an evergrow title is inviting to people that have them and I figured I would get more feedback from owners.

Have you decided on a fixture yet? My honest advice is go a little bigger now because as your passion grows with this hobby you'll want to keep corals you may have never considered before that needs high light requirements. It's easier to run the evergrow at lower power than having to upgrade in the future. I'm a halide/T5 guy but evergrow fixtures are on some very nice tanks. Check out todd sails lighting thread

Definitely, welding up a bracket this weekend that will allow me to move the lights up and down to work in tank.

Anyone know if 2 of the evergrow fixtures would be enough over a 4' tank?
