Hi I am new to the reef community but am willing to learn a lot from here. I just purchased the WD 100 CS filter which has an open compartment for return pump and possibly a skimmer. The dimensions of the whole filter state 18L x 12W but the actual open space is roughly 11.5L x 9W. The psk 150 foot print states 12x6. which is .5 inch longer than the area. Does this mean that the skimmer willnot fit or is there a chance that it will fit. Iam setting up a 75 gallon FOWLR but need a strong in-sump skimmer so the PSK 75 is out of the question. Does anyone know if it fits in the alotted space. I dont want to return my filter and I need a strong insump skimmer. Thanks!

yes, most likely it will not fit. the PSK-150 footprint is too big for the WD-100 series.

So is there a skimmer that you would recommend for 100cs filter? Would upgrading to a bigger filter work for this skimmer? I noticed that almost all the CS filters state to be only 12 inches wide ( *11.5 in the return pump area"). does this mean that no skimmer of eshopps is compatible with this series of wet dry filters from eshopps. How could that possibly be that not one single wet dry filter from eshopps be compatible with an in-sump skimmer from eshopps except for its lower gph skimmers like psk75. The dimensions for filters are (return pump area)WD-100CS1511-1/2" W x 9" L3.3WD-125CS2011-1/2" W x 11" L4.5WD-150CS2011-1/2" W x 11" L4.5

The skimmers on the other hand are (foot print)
    PSK-753199x410-75 Gallon PSK-10042210x575-100 GallonPSK-15052212x6100-150 GallonPSK-20062314x7150-200 Gallon

The only two skimmers that could be used for the three filters listed are the psk75 and 100 because of their footprint. Now why would one want a psk75 or psk 100 for a wd 125cs or 150cs. The skimmers would just not match the aquarium needs an all because their is not enough space in the return pump area. I understand it is a return pump area but why would eshopps make filters that are not compatible with their own skimmers?
