encrusting montipora care?

    so this is actually my first impulse buy. i bought encrusting montipora, or thats what they told me it was. i bought it because i dont have any SPS and it was only 10 dollars for a half dollar sized piece. is cool and im glad i bought it but i dont really know what to do with it.:confused: so its on my highest rock close ot where my filter comes out at. how do i tell if its happy? dont i pic a great thing ot impulse buy on lol.:confused:

    nice addition gexx. i believe if you see the fringes with a white edge to them, thats like a growth ring. good score for a dixie. some nice calm flow and it should do well. keep your params solid.

    yea i know my params gotta be good. anything else i should know? this has been a coral frenzy week. sat i got GSP and finger leather coral, dersa clam. today i got this. im having a good week lol.

    so would this be considered a begginer SPS coral?

    I believe most montiporas are, I know the caps are sorta beginner SPS.

    My green apple cap lost its color, Im bummed bout it, but it has growth almost 1/2 an inch.

    how can i tell if its starting to die? it turns white right?

    Eh mine went from a bright apple green, to a very light mint green... but its growing.. Wish I could tell you but :( My thing is I think I moved it up to fast and bleached it unfortunately.
