    Hello.

I bought an adult emperor angelfish a few months ago and noticed him getting what looked like to be some scarring on his face?
I just went to feed my fish and it is covered with white bumps all over. I am assuming it is ich.
It has been eating and active as normal.
What is the best way to treat this?
It is a fowler tank with just two lions, a Niger trigger, and the sick emperor.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Are you sure its ich and not Lymphocystis? Sand sized bumps, or bigger?

I think it is ich. In looking closer I see some spots on my lionfish also.
Here is the best pic I can get.

This iPad always posts the pics upside down but you can see what I am talking about. The spots are pretty small.

That's Ich. Your choices are either to 1) leave him be, try to identify the stressor or exposure and pump him up nutritional. 2) Remove him, leave the tank fallow and treat the fish with a proven treatment such as hypo or copper

Not sure about the face lesions as I can't see them.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
As for the face lesion, which I can not see in the image either, look into lateral line disease.

I never see the lions bother him at all. He does go after the trigger and makes a loud grunting noise.
I tried to get a picture of the face but the quality is not good.

Do I feed something special to help? Right now I feed frozen and dried krill, silversides, raw shrimp, formula one, formula two, and nori sheets.
